Le Petit Banville

The server, a young lady, was lovely. I ordered the "formule" or set menu. However, after I had eaten my entree, she offered me several choices of dessert, one of which was the babas au rhum. I had enjoyed two glasses of champagne, listed on the menu outside as 8.5€ each. When I got the bill, I was charged 10€ each because that is what it said on the "carte"! and was told the dessert she had offered me was not part of the "formula," which I had clearly asked for so had to pay more. When I explained this, the manager refused to make any alterations even though both of them were clearly at fault. This type of customer service is truly not acceptable. It's not just the money, it's the feeling of poor customer service and having no resort. This was a sad ending to a wonderful visit to Paris. Please try another place. You'll be glad you did.

We go to this restaurant quite often and today with my wife and 2 daughters. This is one of the good reliable restaurants in the neighborhood. Food is excellent and is French in its purest state. Service is good and can be very good. You just need to know how to deal with French and will get the best out of it. In my view highly recommendable.

My husband and I had dinner here and thought it was such a cozy Cafe. The food was so yummy!! The staff were very attentive and the service was amazing!! I highly recommend it.
