Przekaż informację zwrotnąOn march 31, 2010, I wanted to find a restaurant close to Pereire 17e for a party of 4.Balthazar was my choice, based on Trip Advisor's reviews. I expected to find a much better restaurant.My foie gras starter was absolutely tasteless, followed by a mediocre noix de veau. When it came, the plate was extremely hot and the veal was even cold in some spots, which indicates microwave dependence.The wine list encompasses very expensive wines at outrageous prices and basic and still overpriced wines.We had a red Sancerre that was not even decent.All in all, if you want to go there, it may be for the atmosphere which is not bad, but not for a so called cuisine which reminds me of a food factory.I had been there in 2009 for a quick lunch and my experience had been much better.
Everything was perfect from starter to dessert. We tried the lamb and the duck and profiterol (highly recommended) for dessert. The atmosphere was very comfortable. Very friendly staff.One of the best experiences in the city.
We had a fantastic meal at Balthazar. The inteior seemed cramped to look at but it actually wasn't. The tables were all well laid and everything was spotlessly clean. Having a wheat allergy, I was slightly concerned that I would find it difficult to find something on the menu tha I could eat. I shouldn't have worried. I showed my card detailig my allergy (in French) to our waitress and she immediately went and spoke with the chef so I was able to order with complete confidence. I had the aspargus and smoked salmon to start and can honestly say it was outstanding. I have had something similar at a French restaurant in the UK but this completely outclassed it with tiny, tender asparagus and thick slices of smoked salmon, I could have eaten it twice over! I had a steak for my main course, rare and again, beautifully tender. As I couldn't have the fries, I just had it with green beans and even then, couldn't quite clear my plate. We were able to see the staff moving through the tables from where we were sitting and I was very impressed with their speed when the bell rang from the kitchen, I was convinced a couple of times that someone was going to go hurtling down the stairs but they never did and usually came back up them almost as quickly. When we go back to Paris, we will definitely be eating here agaon. The bill wasn't too bad either at around €70 for the 2 of us, including an aperatif and a glass of wine.
Like tudo no bon marched, this restaurant e divine, pratos bem elaborated, com uma vast scolha de vinhos.... vale o preço.
Non-existent reception: people wait until 8 minutes before they are welcomed!!!!!No seasoning: vinaigrette sauce without flavor, even the pepper of the mill has been there for a long time, no taste...Personal pretending to speak English, but the Anglophones do not understand them. See you again! Location located near the air currents; It's cold.Tables glued to the neighbor's table, so you eat by subduing the snails of the neighbors....Inexecrable place, dear, and without any cheap interest that pretends to be a gastronomy place should review its copy.
