Another great dinner in annapurti! this time we had not fish something we would normally do in an Indian restaurant. but we trust annapurti. my fishmasala was great, the fish was perfectly cooked, still moist and delicate, in a tasteful Masala sauce. also the prawn biyani my mannes was excellent. this is the place for Indian cuisine in paris!
In our years to spend the summer in paris, we finally discovered annapurti, and it has immediately become our favorite Indian resto in the city. biryani and korma main courses are excellent; this is the best corma in paris. the samosas and pakoras were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. all the sauces were wonderful, and the naan was perhaps the best we've ever eaten. annapurti’s menu is so expensive that they do not need a discount; that's a great one. service is perfect, and the hindu decor is pleasant.
For the owner of this restaurant.... Annapurti name is derived form the Sanskrit name Annapurna is the goddess of food and nourishment in Hinduism, Worship and offering of food is highly praised in Hinduism but here its totally opposite. Gosh !! We have gone to restaurants around European countries.. but this was one of the pathetic restaurant with a lady owner with lots of Attitude towards customers.. what sought of restaurant forces customers to order in one go without even tasting the food ??? This restaurant does !!!!! And Madam Owner you are running a restaurant so why u have to behave rude with your customers .... Major Thumbs Down !!! Also Get Well Soon !!!!
When we entered the restaurant, the lady (who seems to be the owner also) looked as if not happy to see Indian guests. She asked what we need. We told that we have come for dining. Then she grumpily gave us a place to sit. There was only a couple guest who was in restaurant at that time. The lady who was only staff went inside and didn't come out for 10 minutes. When she came, we asked if they could prepare Jain food, to which she bluntly refused and angrily told us that we should have asked immediately we entered. That was too rude.
