Really delicious empanadas (the crust was done perfectly), including the dessert dulce de lèche empanada with caramel ice cream.
This restaurant our neighbor (!) has excellent empanadas and very friendly servers. I love this place. My opinion is to send a message to the bosses. yesterday, after eating our empanadas, the credit card distributor did not work. The waiter tried three times with my card. He dismantled the machine, restarted it. He tried the card of my wife and son. nyiet. So we asked if we could pay by cheque. We're neighbors next door, and if there was an easy problem to locate. their machine was running out, but the waiter said his bosses wouldn't. This seems very strict given the circumstances. We paid in cash, but the restaurant was full of other customers. certainly the same story. if they also paid in cash on the evening of July 13 (public holiday of course), how will the poor waiter find currency? I think your policies in this matter should be more flexible. asking all customers to go to the bank and get money while visa is clearly indicated as a means of payment is unfair. It's unfair for the customers and the restaurant staff who have something else to do than run and find currency on a holiday party with almost all closed.
We fell on this place by walking through the alleys of the bastille to find a nice place to start at night. We chose a winner. There are a few places of these pianadas to bet but I really like this place. It's small and comfortable and private. It is weakly illuminated by a blue light. the decoration is simple and mainly wood. We ordered fugazzzetta, humida, verdura. I loved the wooden plates and the service dishes in which we ate. I think it would certainly be a romantic atmosphere for an appointment.
Next to the busy street of the Faubourg saint antoine, this small restaurant is the answer to your empanadas desires. They even have a vegetarian menu, with spinach, cheese and onion, corn and coriander, tuna empanadas with a salad and homemade ice cream for dessert. the owner (I suppose) has tried some red wines to my friends, so that they make the right choice, which is quite unusual in this kind of place. and they have big tables if you come with a lot of people, as we did!
