From my point of view, it does not equal the tasted poutine on the other side of the Atlantic a few years ago, with wider fries that bathed in the meat juice. In any case the staff is young and dynamic. A chain and above all a dish that would deserve to be better known.
This was a Quebec-style poutine, tweaked for a Parisian market. The poutine gravy was bland overall it all lacked salt. The fries themselves are fried in peanut oil, which should make them exceptionally good, but the flavour just didn’t translate through the cooking. As for the cheese, it was way too artisanal and, dare I say French?! Poutine cheese curds shouldn’t be gourmet, they should melt, but keep that stringy consistency. This cheese melted quicker than a baked brie and disappeared in the gravy, without adding to the taste. It looked super delicious, but was a let down. The service, welcome, cashier and ambiance was top. If we go back, we’ll choose a seasonal poutine instead of the classic “Montreal poutine.” Don’t miss our on the Blanche de Chambly as the perfect accompaniment to wash it all down with.
I tried there my first poutine but my boyfriend who spent some months in Canada and he was really excited when we went there, he was really satisfied! So, listen to him who is the expert! The only disadvantage is that you can wait a lot because it is really popular!
Small place, but charming. No place to sit, so we took to take away. Despite the line, fast service. Smiling and welcoming staff. The poutine in limited edition is awesome!! To me, the pulled pork with maple syrup brings a real plus to the original poutine... What a yummy idea! It's simply delicious and plentiful : We were satiated.
First poutine and not disappointed, super welcome and generous portions. We arrived at 2 p.m. and there was still a little wait (15 minutes) to have a seated place, but we were allowed some fries to wait. We advise and come back!
