Le Jules Verne - Paris

For a restaurant that's in probably the most well known tourist location in the world, it does not rest on this, but provides world class food, wines and service. The staff were outstanding and nothing at all was an issue. Well worth booking early to get a table

This was our second time at the Jules Verne (last time was a few years ago when Alain Ducasse was there, and we loved it). The place is still magical and the service impeccable. The wine selection is still top. However, the 7-dish tasting menu content (there isn 't à la carte option) was a disappointment. The dishes didn 't meet my expectations for a restaurant in that class. Everything is well presented but most of the dishes didn 't have any flavor even with foam like sauces. The only dish that was great was the langoustine ravioli. The rest was forgettable. The worst was the chocolate creme at the end. I know food is a matter of taste but this time there were too many off dishes to really win my vote on that night, especially given the bar I set for a one-star Michelin restaurant.

Valet parking, private elevator, exceptional service and delicious meals. small apartment on the decoration of the restaurant that is not the one expected with such name and in such a place. that's the detail, the rest was perfect until the little private getaway on the 2nd floor platform after dinner. a special point for our sommelier who could scan us to satisfy our tastes throughout the meal. top!
