My wife And I were looking for something straight forward and simple for dinner. And reasonably priced didn’t hurt either. Le Cardinal hit the spot. Not a huge selection of offerings, 5 pizzas, a couple of pastas, a fish dish, a meat dish or two. I had a pizza, my wife had a pasta with chicken. Was hot from the kitchen and tasted great. We were satisfied.
The choice was limited to the typical pizza/pasta plates. Food was good but not special. Perfect for a lunch when you don’t want to spend a lot of time. Friendly waiter! Not expensive for paris!
We visited here on three separate evenings, before returning to our nearby hotel. The first time we arrived, they were getting ready to close, with some people still finishing their meals. They welcomed us in, even although we were only having drinks. The prices for a carafe of wine and spirits plus mixer, were nowhere near as expensive as the bar at the opposite end of the road. That apart, the atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are friendly and we had fun trying out our limited French with them. Too bad they could not cater for my friend who is wheat/gluten intolerant as we would most certainly have eaten here as the food we could see being served, looked delicious. It was the same staff each night and they made us very welcome. Would certainly recommend a visit.
It seems my family orders were good unlike mine since my pasta was below expectations. The owner was dinning at the same time and she is a pleasant lady who was interested to hear our opinion. The service was very good with friendly staff. Overall...More
