Don Jose Mexican - Paragould

Wonderful service. They impressed me and my daughter about how hard they were ready to host me with a special desert drink. What blown me away was her reaction to me to love her. They were very excited and radiant happiness That says a lot about this restaurant and the staff. The staff came to check us many times. The food was delicious. Very tasteful. Wonderful lunch!

I'm a big fan of Don Jose in Jonesboro, but after I recently went to Paragould, my wife and I decided to try this place. At the time we went it was close to empty, but the food and service was still as great as we expected. The bar is also a nice addition. Definitely recommend!

Directly on the main road US-49, passing through the city of Paragould. I visited a Sunday night at 6:00. The place was mostly empty, but for 2-3 tables that were occupied. Service was very friendly, attentive and prompt. Chips and salsa. Salsa was decent, would have been better if it had fresh cilantro in him. I ordered the Carne Asada plate that comes with rice, beans and tortillas. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The beans were creamy and it comes with a guacamole side salad with some Mexican cheese crushed over it. Overall, no bad choice for Mexican fare on a business trip.

We haven't eaten at this Don Jose's in a while. We were coming through Paragould around 6pm and decided to stop. This building has been multiple restaurants in the past. The front of the building, and the parking lot are poorly lit. The food was good and the waiter was very nice and quick.

8 pm Saturday night and I was the only customer when I arrived. thought they were closed or something else wrong. chips were well over cooked and had a burnt flavor, same as my shell in my taco salad. had a hard time cutting the shell (after it was soggy with sauce) with a knife. basically ripped it apart. not sure I will be a repeat customer.
