Pantego Bay

This was my first visit, and I came with a Groupon – I’m so glad I did! My husband ordered the crawfish etouffee while I tried the blackened redfish. We had corn on the cob, roasted red potatoes, and red beans and rice as our sides. Everything was delicious, but the standout highlights were the jalapeño hush puppies and the excellent service. I also just found out they offer live music on Wednesday nights! The prices are very reasonable; it’s not often you can enjoy a complete meal with fresh Texas Redfish for just $17.99. We’ll definitely be returning!

As for the food, I recommend sticking to the fried options. They have a really delicious breading, which we believe is potato-crusted, and both of our fried dishes were outstanding. I had the butterfly shrimp dinner, while my fiancé chose the fish tacos. The grilled taco wasn't as impressive as the fried one. The sides were also good: the slaw, beans, and okra were all tasty. Additionally, they offer a complimentary appetizer of hushpuppies, which was a nice touch. Overall, everything was quite enjoyable. I also noticed a small bar on the other side of the restaurant that seems like it would be fun to explore. Don't hesitate to give this place a try!

I visited this restaurant a few years ago, and my husband loved their clam chowder, which is quite unique compared to the usual versions. I decided to return, and while it seems the owners have changed, the chowder is still delicious. My crab patties arrived a bit cold, but they were tasty nonetheless. The coleslaw felt like it was lacking in flavor, though I appreciated its creaminess. My daughter enjoyed her burger. I’m giving it three stars because we experienced the same issue as our first visit—no one greeted us right away, leaving us uncertain about whether we should seat ourselves. They really need a bell to alert the kitchen or bar area, as there was someone on her phone when we peeked around the corner, which made it seem like no one was around.

The Stuff shrimp is great!!!! They are larger size than I normally get at other places. The customer service is great as well. Definitely going back to this place to try more of their menu.

Give this place another chance; I think you'll find great food, reasonable price, excellent margaritas, all of which can be enjoyed on the party porch!! A great place to meet family and friends.
