Calicanto Trattoria Cocina Italiana, Pizza Cafe

Gotta rave about the Greek salad. Not traditional with lots of lettuce, actually no lettuce. Shredded peppers and onion with sliced cucumbers, it was great. Pizza not as good as I was expecting. Maybe I chose the wrong specialty pie. My service was BAD. I was ignored by the waitress and the place had only 1 other party at the time. Instead of enjoying another beer or 2 and taking my time, I got out of there frustrated.

That is the best pizza in the opposite. the family was here three times and would have more, but they were closed on Monday. here is the deal: they have perfected the crust with the perfect mix of flour and fermentation. the ingredients are fresh, and the marinara sauce is homemade. this place is a jewel.

The pizza was good, but strange. we ordered a 4 topping pizza and they put 1 topping on 2 single slices (see picture). it was good, but would rather have spread the beats over the whole pizza. they could also use an ambience interaction, maybe some Italian music instead of the strange pop music (that had to compete with their child who played a loud video game). they had seats in the open, which I wish we had chosen.

We stumbled randomly into this place and looked for breakfast. they were very friendly and courteous, our children had delicious touch and broth, and around our vegetarian preferences, they came with a layered fresh tomato and melted cheese concoction that was amazing. they also had a delicious eggplant thing, all with brot to draw. but the most memorable was the latte so well made that it didn't need a sugar to be a delicious leak.

We had an awesome thin crust pizza and a delicious bowl of perfectly cooked gnocchi. The service was attentive and friendly. There are several outdoor tables as well as indoor dining. This is a great, quaint, reasonably priced restaurant in Casco Viejo.
