Kerala Cafe - Panaji

Service was great. Test the beef-Bryani, chicken-Bryani and Kotti beef parotha. Can't honestly say I tried a lot of authentic Kerel food so I can't compare, but the food here was great, very enjoyed.

I've been in Goa for sometime...and I've missed kerala food. This place took me home. If you are a fan of Beef and Porotta.... visit this place. Eat stomach full and mindfull. I am waiting for the next visit where i can try some hot vadas and pazhamporis(banana fritters)

So we just went there after digging up a bit about menu. The place is really nice and cozy for sure. Here are my observations about the place: Ambience: it was cozy like I said , not many people can sit but was comfortable enough considering a budget place. Staff: Attentive staff and owner , 2 good things required to make your experience good. They had knowledge about what they are serving Food: Beef curry was out of the world delicious, absolutely perfect. Parotha was equally perfect, just loved it. Puttu was great as well. Here comes the problem, Biryani , one of the worst I have ever had because it was bland and dry and meat pieces were not cooked properly either and spices weren’t good enough , so I would highly recommend to not have it. Second flaw is availability of the cold drinks , I wish they had it available. Price: it is a pocket friendly place which means it’s worth paying the bill which won’t be too much. 3 people can eat for the price of 600INR which is just perfect ! I literally would have given it a 5 star. Verdict: it’s a nice place , only thing which spoiled our experience was biriyani and cold drink. But owner made up for it by asking how the experience was and also the price paid real justice , so I moved it from 3 to 4 stars. I hope when I visit next , I am convinced enough to move my next experience to 5. But if you want to try something different, Kerala food , it’s a must visit place. I will be very frequent here for sure !

Very happy with the food, we had chicken stew, appam, egg roast, porotta and dosa. Chicken stew and Appam was the highlight!! Every single dish tasted authentic Keralite food and it was delicious the guy who served us was very nice and polite, especially helpful. The place looks a little shady, but plates, glasses and dishes were clean and fine. It was absolutely bag and belly friendly

The dishes and drinks are not like our usual Indica or Goan style. It is a completely different kitchen and it is to die! Home Style meals, good service and great prices! I wish they had a separate AC area.
