Upon entering, we walked through the kitchen and into a beautifully decorated nostalgic dining space. Our large party ordered a variety of dishes, with the fried calamari being a standout favorite. The Alfredo and Brussels sprouts salad were a bit dry, but the other dishes were all delicious.
My friends and I ordered wings from this restaurant, expecting delicious crispy fried chicken wings. However, we were disappointed to receive thin, tough wings that seemed like they had been baked in the oven. If you want to try them for yourself, here's how: Step 1: Buy a large bag of frozen wings from Costco. Step 2: Bake them in the oven. Step 3: Coat them in a generic sauce. Voila! Additionally, my friend's mac and cheese was lackluster. The noodles were hard and unremarkable. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience. Buffalo Wild Wings or Wingstop definitely outshine this place. Perhaps they should focus on improving the quality of their food rather than investing in fancy packaging.
I ordered from Buca for a 50th birthday party with over 20 guests last Saturday and I was extremely pleased with the food, pricing, and service. Rich helped me customize the menu, stay within my budget, and made sure the food was delivered on time and hot. I had never tried Buca before, but chose it because the birthday boy wanted Italian food and friends had recommended it. Despite being a chain restaurant, the food was delicious and received rave reviews from the guests, who even went back for seconds. Based on this fantastic experience, I highly recommend Buca and will definitely be ordering from them for future events. I suggest working directly with Rich as his attention to detail is outstanding. Despite being busy, he made me feel like my event was his top priority and exceeded my high expectations. A+ rating from me.
This restaurant has declined in quality from its previous stellar reputation. I was shocked by the amount of time it took for our salad to be served - a whopping hour. After finishing the bland pasta, we had been in the restaurant for 2 and a half hours. The service was awful. The Alfredo pasta lacked flavor, with the sauce tasting like a mixture of milk and flour. However, the salad was the one saving grace.
Hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in Albuquerque. The portions are definitely worth the price. No place competes or compares with the spicy shrimp ? I had tonight. To top it off the staff will treat you like family. 10/10 recommend and will be returning.
