Jù Bǎo Lóu - Palo Alto

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this place in Palo Alto, and it exceeded my expectations. It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation in advance, as it usually enhances the experience.

Our friend, who lives nearby, took us to this restaurant when we arrived in the city for lunch. It’s located in the heart of Palo Alto, and the decor is very much inspired by Chinese culture. We ordered about six different dim sums to share among three people, and they were exquisite. Each dish was on par with the best dim sums we've tried at top-tier restaurants in China. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, and the aromas were delightful, complemented by spicy sauces that ranged from sweet to fiery. The service was fast and exceptional, making us feel warmly welcomed in this charming atmosphere. The sticky rice was spot on, the green beans with pork were excellent, and even the vegetarian dishes were delicious. This is a place you don't want to miss. Unfortunately, dim sum is only served during lunch hours.

This popular Chinese restaurant in Palo Alto features a nice dim sum room and specializes in Cantonese cuisine. They offer private rooms for large groups, and the dishes are delightful.

如果可以打负分，俺一定给这里个—5星！俺在美国东西两岸尝试过上百家广东酒楼的茶点。这一家如果说是最烂的，肯定没有谁好意思与它争更烂。烂的地方是：1，食品乱做，潮州裸果里面竟然加入老抽？且味道杂乱。2，看人采取态度，疑似歧视。俺是一个人用餐，与随俺之后入座的二人座邻桌，那二人已经开始点食物了俺这里却没人给Menu！只因为那二人是高丽女配白佬？经过俺两次要求后才有人将Manu丢在俺桌上。3，价钱奇高！俺只点了4个点心花了近四十美金。这几样食物在洛杉矶$20就差不多了。而在纽约也就是$30而已。总之，如果你想来这里用餐，不必抱有任何期待，“填饱肚子便好”的心理准备可能会使你和亲友们会产生些许愉快，祝好运。

Tai Pan is our go to spot to Chinese take out although it’s a very nice restaurant with high end decor and service. Kids love the pot stickers and the dim sum is awesome but every dish is always good.
