Fuki Sushi - Palo Alto

I still believe decades into operation that Fuki Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in town. It has great prices for the high quality sushi and sashimi. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It’s dark, relaxed, and private. There are too many sushi places these says that completely lack atmosphere. This is the best place for a night date or a family dinner. The tatami rooms are a great experience too! The waiters and waitresses give their honest feedback and never disappoint with their recommendations. Fuki Sushi does not chase trends, it sticks to tradition—a tradition of world class sushi and atmosphere. Vegetarian options: they have vegetarian options and are always willing to make adjustments.

Just incredible. The sweet prawn, tamago, and salmon roe were all standouts for me. Seared salmon belly was to die for. The service was fantastic, the waiters were so nice. Full house on a Wednesday, and for good reason. Fuki does it right ?

Food was not good. Very poor quality. Even a salmon nigiri was horrible

Maybe we hit it on a bad night but the sushi wasn’t good. Our waiter was wonderful and the vibes were cool though.We spent $150 for 2 people. I wouldn’t go back for sushi but might try a lunch special or something little more generic.

Disclamer: dining on a company dime :D The food was as good as one would reasonably expect from a reputable sushi restaurant. Sushi came assorted on mini boats and that was neat. Appetizers were both creative and delicious and saved us from starving. Wait time between servings was pretty long for our big crowd.
