Bethany's Cafe - Palmerston North

Really good staff, good location, entrees were really nice, nice house wine, my steak was very good (had to be for the price), my partners salmon was average, nothing we wanted on the desert menu. Downside, we were a couple in an empty restaurant trying to have a romantic night and then had a family of 6 seated right next to us, no other dinners around for the whole time there. So food was very good to ok, staff excellent, bit of thinking required for seating, quite pricey.

Went here on a Wednesday for an end of year work function. Since work was paying, I can't comment on the prices. My meal was exactly as I requested which was nice, and it was cooked perfectly. The steak was very nice, and I really enjoyed the starters. There was a good selection of drinks, and the service was to a good standard our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating to our diverse group. Would recommend

We were upstairs with lovely view of the Clock Tower at night. Had very nice platter of Breads and dips to share. The Beef burgers were very substantial and very tasty. No lighting turned on in the stairway on the way down at 9pm. A bit tricky. Enjoyable meal and location. Will be back.

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. We had Ei Benedikte, who were divine. The upper sitting area overlooking the square has a beautiful view.

With a group for lunch it was a nice surprise to discover its upper floor, which had a beautiful view over the square. I ordered the vegan salad, although I'm not a vegan, something healthy and interesting. And the Gamble paid it was a generous portion and not all salad leaves, like some places laid. Soaked nuts, artichokes! Very satisfied and recommended.
