We had a cabbage soup which was fantastic, you must try the Alheira as it’s like nothing I’ve tried before, if I want to describe it, a sausage of slow cooked meats in breadcrumbs and fried. The flavour was absolutely amazing. As with everywhere it seems it came with home made fries, had a side of their garlic prawns which were obviously cooked over a charcoal grill and they were devine, super fresh and tasty. Had a glass of house white which was light and fruity, no idea what it was but possibly the nicest wine I’d had all holiday. When you see the manager sit down to eat his dinner on the table beside you, you know they take pride in their food. Lively atmosphere and after 9pm the place started to fill out.
Excellent service, excellent atmosphere, excellent traditional Portuguese simple and comfort cuisine. Simple restaurant with a local yet modern feel, quick service, convenient parking around. If you are staying around Palmela or driving by, is a must.
We were in Palmela for the Harvest/Wine Festival and fancied some food. Didn’t want fast foods from the festival stalls and came upon this place. Tables were okay and the menu looked fine. Ordered chicken dishes and beef burger and 4 beers. Food was lovely as were the staff. Prices are very reasonable. The bill only came to €40 which included our tip. If ever in Palmela again I would come back here again. Excellent value
Very good restaurant, excellent waiting service. Recommend the tappas. Good food and good people. Mj
We were walking down the street when some great smell caught our attention. It was this small restaurant! The owner was very friendly and the food was great as well!
