Blackbook - Palm Springs

Troy is undoubtedly one of the best servers in the city. Given how many restaurants are short-staffed, it can be frustrating for diners looking to enjoy a nice meal. However, we dined on Saturday, February 12, during the dinner rush at 6:30 PM, and Troy didn't miss a beat. He made our experience one of the best we've had since we started dining at Blackbook after moving here in 2020. As regular guests, we absolutely love the Nashville Chicken—it's the best in town! I can't emphasize enough that Troy is the best server around, and we will definitely request him for every visit.

I have a friend who works here and I've been wanting to have a burger since it's supposed to have one of the better ones around. After waiting an hour to be served and noticing that other tables that sat after us were being served I mentioned it to our server. He assured us it was coming and after another 10 minutes the two burgers we ordered came. They were both cold, cold, cold and completely overcooked and dry. Fries were also cold, cold cold. Our meal was completely comped but I'm just so disappointed.

This place has really gone down hill. My last experience was terrible. It took way too long to be seated, we wanted to sit outside around 11pm but they said they’re patio was closed? Their “patio” is literally blocking multiple parking spaces, so for that to be wasted at such a prime time is baffling to say the least. The food was okay nothing really different from any other “bar food”. The burger was really salty… like when I say salty… trust me! And then the fries were fried in oil that must’ve been used for the past couple days prior to that because they tasted like fish! How?! Anyway save your time and money. Too pricey for rushed dirty food.

We waited for service with no luck until 15 min later we had a “ server” rush by us and ask if we wanted menu’s?… a drink offered first would’ve been nice. If the place was packed, I would say “ sure”…… this is embarrassing. Absolutely HORRIBLE place and wouldn’t return if they paid us to. We ended going to Hunters and being served right away.

I met my date here as a 'Jumping off point for the evening. The drinks were a bit strong and it was pretty loud inside but over all this is a great little watering hole with friendly and attentive mixologists.
