Alebrije Bistro Mexico - Palm Springs

We were looking forward to a non-traditional Mexican meal and we’re curious about this restaurant and it’s Mexico City bistro-style food. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing and definitely not worth recommending. Instead of the food being interesting or flavorful it is just odd and not good. The tortilla soup was served cold. The sea bass ceviche was served in uncut chunks in a bizarre and flavorless purple sauce with not a hint of lime juice. The flatbread was just a tortilla with pinto beans and pieces of chicken. And the Mexican wine was pretty hideous.

Fun and lively place. Live music adds to the ambiance. Good food, good service.

The food was good, but not great, not what I expected for the price

Love this place, but the food took almost an hour to get. The place was not busy, so it was a bit disappointing. The food was great, which was a bit for it.

We had 7:30 reservations and at 9:00 without our main dishes. Waitress told us it was their low season and things are generally slower. There was no air conditioning throughout the restaurant and no fans or air moved at all. If the hostess had told us that we would sit outside where it was cooler (91 degrees outside) and there was at least one air movement. That was our second and last time to eat here. Terrible experience. Very disappointed that they did not seem to care that we were unhappy about our experience, but the waitress said they would get the fork that we never get...thanks to you very much, I hope I didn't complain about anything that we never get to eat because of slow and bad service.
