Oasis - Palenque

During our stay in Palenque we tried a few restaurants. I must say that it is very difficult to find really good food in this city. We found great food on our Mexico trip, but not in this city. This place is located directly on the main square in downtown Palenque. It's quite a Hole-in-the-wall. The menu is all about simple Mexican food for low prices. The service here was very friendly. We went for some beef tacos and some horchata. The beef was pretty chewing and the meat smells a little old, but we didn't get a stomachache. It was a very pale meal, had nothing special about it... even with the extra sauces and salsa. We had better (as in the Mercado on Cozumel). Horchata was very good. There's not much more to say. We didn't try other meals. But I guess meat quality won't differ much. But the place is good enough to fill your stomach or at least good for some horchata on a hot and humid day in Palenque.
