This was a beautiful, traditional Segovian restaurant that had really good gluten-free bread, good meat and good seafood. They also knew about celiac disease. The only thing we didn't like was the waiter very rude when we asked if the soy sauce had gluten on the salmon. It was gluten-free on the menu, but I wasn't sure because other restaurants didn't always realize that soy sauce has wheat in it. He seemed very exasperated and would not check with the kitchen. I got another fish, and fortunately I didn't get sick. Finally, as a celiac, the only other thing I was worried was the bunch of bread and crumbs that she just put on the table.
Ask for Sin Gluten to your waiter. They don't speak much English, but they know what sin means gluten. They have warm GF rollers and the suction pig is GF. The marzipan cake is also GF, as shown on its dessert menu. The meal was great and the ambience classic. I highly recommend doing a resiery as they are overcrowded.
Espectacular experiencia que hemos vivido en el restaurante josé maria. desde la atención y alojamiento en la mesa por guillermo a la atención del resto de los camareros, destacando el buen servicio de maria muestra joven, encantadora y profesional camarera que nos asistió durante el servicio. Comimos y bebemos muy bien, calidad superior de los platos tanto en gusto como en presentación. el ambiente agradable y acogedor. repetiremos cuando lleguemos a esta hermosa ciudad de Segovia.
