Islas Veracruz - Palatine

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The prices were extremely high, and the waitstaff had poor attitudes, yet they still expected good tips, which they definitely did not earn. I ordered shrimp that were way too salty. My husband's meal was overly spicy, making it inedible for him. I also ordered a drink called mamona, which was overpriced and didn't even contain tequila. When I asked the waitress about it, she responded rudely. I requested a Coke, but it was never brought to our table. I have no plans to return. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

We placed a takeout order and live about 20 minutes away, but everything arrived hot and fresh. I can't wait to return! We visited on a Friday but didn't stay for the music and dancing since it was the night before New Year's. However, we will definitely make sure to experience that next time!

On December 16, 2027, I visited this restaurant with my family for the first time, and it was a disappointing experience. The waitress seemed angry and was quite rude; there was nothing friendly about the service. To make matters worse, my daughter found something unpleasant in her food. Additionally, I was charged for a coffee that I didn't order, and the tax was 18% instead of the usual 10%. They also included tips in the bill, which should not happen if the service is poor. On top of that, the food was unappetizing. I ended up feeling so ill that I vomited after leaving the restaurant. The waitress only offered a brief apology, yet she still took a $30 tip. The food lacked flavor, and frankly, I will not be returning.

Food was surprisingly good although my fish was overly spicy which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Service was a bit slow but there was a mariachi band which was nice.

Good atmosphere, BUT expect to pay the cost of food plus 18% service charge really expensive 60 dollar for 3 bears and 3 tacos not a place to visit very often.
