Tin Shack Bakery - Pahoa

We ordered the turkey bacon club, which was so fresh and tasty, and the everything bagel with cream cheese (also fresh and delicious). I had an iced chai that is perfect for true chai lovers—it’s wonderfully spicy! I also tried a cup of the house-roasted drip coffee on ice, and wow, it was incredible. This is coming from someone who usually doesn't enjoy coffee! It was light, full of flavor, and definitely not burnt or bitter; we didn't even need to add sugar. We loved it so much that we bought a whole bag of beans to take home! We liked it so much that we went back for two more sandwiches later. Then, we returned the next morning for even more! This place has completely won us over with their kind service and delicious food.

I really enjoy the Mayan cookies and kombucha at this place, and the carrot cake is fantastic as well.

Great location! A little on the pricey side, and unfortunately, several dishes we wanted were unavailable. However, I really appreciate the open-air atmosphere and the freshness of all the food.

This open-air café offers wonderfully fresh breakfast options and a friendly staff. I highly recommend sharing the scone, which pairs beautifully with the cappuccino made with oat milk. Everyone else in my group opted for bagel sandwiches with egg and additional veggies, leaving us all with very happy bellies. Enjoy this laid-back spot while you're in Pahoa!

We had a fantastic experience when we visited this restaurant! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the flavors were outstanding. The turkey bacon club was packed with fresh components, and the eggs benedict were exceptional. We also enjoyed a hibiscus tea and the daily coffee special, which was a clove lavender latte. There were so many tempting pastries and homemade breads on display that looked absolutely delicious. If you’re in the area, you definitely need to stop by. I highly recommend it! Just a heads up, the road leading to the restaurant has some potholes, so you'll need to navigate a bit carefully, but it's worth it.
