Pasta and eggplant were buried in cheese so the only thing u could taste was overcooked pasta and cheese eventhough the food was supposed to be about eggplant.Service was good, but we didn’t come to the restaurant for that. We were hungry and left the same unfortunately.Shame to say this, I might come back for fresh ousters, but just because chef can not screw this up they are raw.
We were excited to find a new place to try and we stopped in at at the restaurant on Mother's Day, however we were not impressed. It wasn't crowded which was nice, but when we walked in it took a while before we were approached to be seated (we did have a reservation but there were plenty of tables open). We were 3 adults and two children. It took a while for someone to come to take our order for drinks, but we were prepared for our entire order to be taken when the waitress returned. I had requested that the order for the children to come out as soon as possible which it did not. They held their order until the main entrees were ready. When the chicken fingers came, they were very well done and almost looked burned. The food was ok, but nothing that I would go back for.
A cute Italian restaurant off the main drag in Oyster Bay. We were able to walk in on a Friday night without a reservation, but it was a popular spot, so I’d suggest considering getting a reservation just to be safe! The food was ready pretty quickly considering the number of tables that were occupied. Service could have been a bit better, as we were never offered drink refills even though our cups were empty. Also too much ice was used so sodas became very watery. The bolognese was good, and I’d get it again.
Casual Italian place in downtown Oyster Bay. The menu features standard pasta fare, as well as typical entrees. Pasta and entrees come with a side salad and rolls.I had the seafood via diavola pasta. It was tasty but I felt like the portion of pasta was a bit small (especially when it's a $25 entrée and pasta is $2.50 from Stop and Shop). It was good, but I probably won't rush back.We were seated next to a family with few little girls who were quite rambunctious. They were singing, farting, and running around which made for a noisy meal.
My family and I came during the Oyster Festival and we stopped in here for dinner and immediately were put off by the rude gal at the bar. Once seated at a table, we were met by a curt server. I asked if any of the dishes had sundried tomato which I love, and the server just responded smugly “No”. Didn’t offer to ask the chef if it could be added or anything. The food was tasty but all in all it wasn’t a great experience.
