The Walrus Oyster Ale House - Oxon Hill

The lobster rolls are good. But the waffle is amazing. After tasting a piece of corn waffle from my girlfriend, I had to order my own corn waffle. The staff is great and there are outdoor seats. I'd probably go back to the walrus.

Great experience. Sat outdoors and enjoyed the unusual warm November evening. Food great...service great..:do yourself a favor and try the deviled eggs...it’s quite a tasty experience! You can thank me later:

Nice well lit storefront. Ambient seating. Friendly staff. Limited selection of dishes. A bit pricey. Delicious food, large alcohol drinks, and desert was sweet. Add more food selection and you’ll get 5 stars.

We visited the National Harbor for work and went out to grab something to eat after. Didn't know what to expect as many restaurants had bad reviews in the area. Chose the Walrus oyster and Ale house as I have a lot of food allergies and I can usually find something bland to eat. This place had great food at reasonable prices for the area... but the best part was the service! Darnell was our server and he was outstanding. He was kind and personable while being attentive and cautious about ensuring my food was order correctly and safe for me. It was a busy night and his section was full... yet he smiled the whole time and never stopped moving. When we return to the area... we will visit the Walrus and hope Darnell will be there with his warm and welcoming smile!

Came here to try oysters for the first time was not disappointed at all ! Great ambiance , clean restaurant great service . We ordered a beer the smoky margarita as our beverages they were both really tasty ! Quentin was our waiter he was really great knowledgeable friendly ! What we ordered : Chefs Special dozen of oysters 6/10 I enjoyed pairing the oysters with the oyster hot sauce they keep on the table the horseradish mixture . Since we got the chefs special it came w sweet , briny salty oysters . I definitely did not like the salty but the others were great! Fried Calamari 8/10 Seafood Linguini 9/10 Great flavor on the sauce the shrimp was cooked nicely ! Overall really good : Smoky margarita 8/10 Could use better rim presentation Will definitely be returning to take my visitors here!
