Rosa Mexicano - Oxon Hill

It has been a long time since I've been to Rosa Mexicana and the quality has definitely changed. The air conditioner was broken, and the staff neglected to tell us unfortunately our visit was during one of the hottest days of the summer. Also, the waiter was very rude and the food was over seasoned and not very good. Definitely not the experience that I remember from a couple years ago. 

Ultimately we enjoyed our date at Rosa Mexican. We were in the mood for apps as dinner and we loved our choices. The table side guacamole, while expensive, is delicious. A single portion is enough for most. They really should add salt to their homemade chips but you can add your own to taste. The fried plantains were tasty as was the street corn inspired “dip” side. The main problems were the air conditioning doesn't work and the portable units they brought in were struggling. I was sweating quite a bit by the end of our meal. It was 95 outside and the diners outside were probably more comfortable. They really should have comped a few drinks to make up for it. My beer was even warm and not refreshing.

This was my second visit to Rosa Mexicana and I am really disappointed with this experience. The floors were very dirty. The AC of the restaurant was broken. The food average. The only good this was our server.

Wasn't great, when we arrived it was hot and they said the A/C went out. They gave us papers with QR codes on them to order we used them and 2 out of 3 of us ordered things they “didn't have on the menu” according to our server. He said those are the old Menu's even though that's what the hostess gave us for a menu. Very bizarre. I ended up just getting a salad. The table side guac was good but other than that not impressed.

Hostess desk needs more training as we had a lot of people and we had a reservation and all they do is say “give me a minute” and then it was 11 mins to get seated. Oh and air conditioning broken. However the waitress was excellent and so was the food. So overall worth it!!!!
