Henry's Soul Cafe - Oxon Hill

Food on point evertime I've visited ??Service good, despite that little light skin girl being low key sassy, she kinda cute though.Atmosphere Open some windows, or invest in some febreze.

Not good. The food was either microwavable (my country fried steak and Mac cheese) or way over-fried (my friend's fried whitefish, which also had bones). The sweet tea seemed to be little more than 2 cups of sugar mixed with some brown water.Had to maneuver around a dirty mop bucket and puddle on the floor to sit down, none of which was removed while we were there.This soul food experience was soul shattering, at best.

I went here as a recommendation from someone and I was excited to go. I had been wanting rice and gravy for a while. So I went and ordered the beef ribs, greens, macaroni and cheese and a side of the rice and gravy. EVERYTHING WAS TERRIBLE!!! The ribs were tough as hell, and the greens were undercooked. The rice and gravy smelled as if it had spoiled, so it instantly went in the garbage. And the macaroni and cheese was horrible. I remember going YEARS ago and the food was trash, but I figured since years had passed, it would be better…. I was WRONG!!!Keep your money and go else where! If not, chances are, you’ll be just as disgusted as I was.

Affordable. Yummy. And fast service. Don't walk, run to Henry's.

The food is good. The greens are a little too sweet and the sweet potato pie is a little too nutmeg forward for my preferente, but as a whole, everything was fine. I will visit again.
