Yolanda's Mexican Cafe - Oxnard

We visited this restaurant during a busy time, and it was impressively spacious! Seating options are available both indoors and outdoors. I had the vegetable plate, which was bursting with flavor. My friends ordered margaritas, and they looked fantastic as well. The chips and salsa were tasty. Overall, it was a solid experience, but I wouldn't say it was entirely authentic.

My initial thoughts on Yolanda's decor are that it resembles a more upscale version of Chevy's Tex Mex. We only ordered a small snack and tried the tacos, but the service was excellent throughout our visit. We were quickly seated and served. I only wish we were hungry enough to try more of the menu, but hopefully, we can come back for that next time.

Wow! What a fantastic dinner! There were six of us at our table on Saturday night, and our server was incredibly attentive to all our drink refills and needs. I recall one of the names being Jesus, but there were a few different guys checking in on us, and they were all very friendly! The chips and salsa were delicious, the food was excellent, and the drinks were great. Everything was just wonderful! Thank you for a lovely dinner experience!

Great food, great atmosphere, incredible staff and a whole place to enjoy with views of the harbor.

We had dinner at Yolanda to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a wonderful evening. We arrived early and strolled around the beautiful canals of the Channel Islands port. What a beautiful place! We then went to Yolanda's and got a place on their terrace opposite the canals and watched the sunset over the port. Amazing! Look at the pictures. We started with some traditional margaritas on the rocks with salted glasses. I thought they were easy on Tequila, but I was happy to be wrong. Yum! I also ordered a Modelo especial design beer that was also delicious. As a vegetarian we ordered a cheese quesadilla with frits for my son and a double order of herbal Fajitas. The food was amazing, and the part was huge, even for two! The variety of vegetables that come with the Fajitas really surprised us. We're not used to that! We ordered a mixture of corn and flour tortillas that meet in place. To finish it, our server brought us a free flaan. We were really good to watch, and I bet you will be!
