Otani's Seafood - Oxnard

I had the red Snapper sandwich with mussels and pommes. The sandwich was really good and Snapper tasted fresh.

I ordered for delivery not only did it take forever to come here, I did not receive a tarsauce for my fish, which in all honesty it essential for this kind of food, I ordered 3 dishes house special no sauce? to top that from the salad was hot not delicious, I spent over $55 and they would not consider a kind of compensation never order from here again.

Yesterday, love the cook special fish and even more so that the customer service provided. She ran back and forth with orders, servicing and customer reviews!!! Here is the definition of the perfect waitress.

Excellent food. Had the shrimps Chow mine and it was delicious. Also a fish taco. Food was excellent.

The only reason I'm giving Otani's only two stars is that a friend of mine told me how amazingly wonderful it was. Perhaps the seafood salad isn't the best thing on the menu. That's what I had and it was very underwhelming. My friend and I went there hoping to find something like a Seven Seas salad which of course has all kinds of seafood in it not just crab and shrimp with lettuce. We did not opt to have it smothered in mayonnaise which of course is the way most people get it. I intend to return to try something else on the menu. The place was about half-full and there was a steady stream of people coming in getting to go orders. I suspect my experience is a unique one. I must add this; the people who work there are very accommodating I did not expect the wonderful service that we got. ?
