El Pollo Loco - Oxnard

It seems they don?t care about the customers because they gave me this black nasty chicken and raw.

The restaurant recently reopened after being closed for a few weeks. I'm not sure why it closed, but I'm glad it's back open. It's much closer to my home than the other restaurant I used to go to. The food has always been good, although it seems like prices have gone up.

We ordered 2 classic Tostada salads and they were very fresh with just the right amount of chicken. However, there wasn't enough rice and beans. Could you please add a little more rice and beans to the salads? Rice and beans are not expensive. Overall, I would rate the restaurant 5 stars, but would appreciate more rice and beans in the salads.

I had never eaten at a Pollo Loco before, but I decided to try their 4-piece meal with a drink. I was surprised by the price, which was around $15.50. However, after receiving my food, I was disappointed. The chicken was dry and overcooked, the drumstick looked like it came from a tiny bird, the rice was dry, and the mashed potatoes were bland. To top it off, they forgot to give me a straw and napkins. I have definitely had better chicken elsewhere and won't be returning to Pollo Loco anytime soon.
