I'm visiting from Los Angeles...certainly a more expensive city than Owings Mills I have NEVER paid this much for this little. They are aware that I will just be stuck with whatever they give me. Save your money...Go somewhere else. As a Nigerian I am appalled by the lack of professionalism when I called to complain. I sincerely advise you to go elsewhere for your Nigerian food.
Me and my daughter asked for something that was on the menu and the lady at the register act like she didn't understand what we was asking for and was very rude and getting smart. We are american and she act like she didn't want us in there at all and she purposely made the wrong food for my daughter and didn't care when we told her and they added a tip to our order without our knowledge and the food was very disgusting just like our service and this was so disappointing experiencing this type of racist behavior and everyone that came in that was African and Nigerian she was very nice to and was treating us like trash. But I don't understand if your in America I would think you would treat us nice and want our business but with this type of rudeness and discrimination is heartless and why be in America if you don't want to serve us. I really want my money back and the tip that they stole but we was so mad and disgusted we just left but we will not be going back and the food was so nasty and overpriced but you suppose to ask for tips or wait to see if we give you one but they took it and included it in our bill. I'm calling in a complaint on them especially about them being very racist so sad and disappointing.
August 14, 2021 we ladies had our monthly luncheon, we decide to patronize Suya Spot. My sister visited the restaurant to make sure they could accommodate our group (were older ladies with canes walkers and wheelchairs). A tour was given, showing how easily we could be accommodated and even given a copy of the menu. A friend sent me a copy of some reviews about the restaurant, asking had I read them. ALL VERY NEGATIVE from overpriced food and drinks, to service serving bared handed to unsanitary conditions. (see the reviews on your own website) charging us to eat there, they call it a “LoungeTax” almost $20.00 extra just to eat in restaurant; we decided to go anyway and see for ourselves. When we arrived at restaurant, after being seated, we already knew what wanted, we had copies of menu. What we didn’t know, the menus were out of date, the new and new ones hadn’t arrived. Many of the items on the menu were not available, of the ones that were, were over priced, undercook or just plane nasty. We go out every month together and ALWAYS request for separate checks, we all pay for our own food. Just as we asked this trip, but they did not accommodate . The bill was combined, leaving us to decipher who had which and figure out the pricing. As stated about we read the reviews, we wanted to give our Nigerian brothers and sisters the benefit of the doubt, everyone deserves a chance. Unfortunately Suya Spot missed the spot and is an EXTREMELY A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. The bottom line: The food was horrible, undercook (which is a dangerous practice when it comes to poultry. This you should know being in the food serving business). The $23.00 for a drink that barely filled half the glass. We’re not speaking of any glass, we’re speaking of a four ounce juice glass which nearly reached the halfway mark, charging people a “Lounge Fee”, to sit inside/outside and dine is ludicrous, (and I’m sure he’d agree). You can’t charge exorbitant prices for mediocre, less than mediocre food. I cannot tell you how truly disappointed we were, we thought the reviews were just sour grapes from unhappy customers. After visiting your restaurant and seeing for ourselves confirm most of the accusations. Monthly Senior Ladies of Randallstown
Suya spot was really nice when it first open, over a period of time the standard has gone very low. The staff looks very dirty and unkempt, one of the staff short lady) observed her picking meat pie with her bare hands, and then recently the same girl was picking her nose the whole time while serving customers, I mean c'mon. To make it worst, the food is horribly expensive. I Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone
Met friends there for lunch hoping to try new foods loved Ethiopian food so we figured why not). We opted for the chicken soya and rice. The menus on line are not the same as those in this tiny restaurant. Our friends had the lamb. The lamb was over cooked almost burnt and dried out. It was hardly a mouthful for the outrageous price we paid.. the tables still had leftover dishes fro the previous customers, no one cleans off tables , we had to do it. There were at least 8 people standing around doing nothing. We had the chicken Susa which was 1/4 of a chicken cooked in African spices. What chicken we could find in the dish was dried out, and bones. The skin of the chicken made up the majority of the dish. Lunch for 4 people came to $73. Which is outrageous for lunch. They also tack on a 6 6% “ lounge fee”.whatever that is. You had to pick up your own food and bus the table. What am I paying for? Had I read the reviews before going we would have gone some place else. To make the lunch even worse , I vomited on the way home!
