Hometown Pizza Owenton

The pizza was excellent and had a unique hometown flavor. The service was quick and efficient for a take out meal during dinner time. The price per person was $1–10, making it very affordable. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Hometown Special and Thin Crust pizzas.

The food at this restaurant was disappointing and the service was not great. During my first time ordering pickup, I had to ask about my order at the counter and felt ignored by the staff as they passed by or stood around. The cinnasticks were particularly bad - hard, burnt, and not tasty at all. After leaving my initial review, the owner responded by offering a complimentary large specialty pizza, which was a nice gesture considering the order was for my anniversary. I have agoraphobia, so getting out of the house alone is a big deal for me, and the previous experience made me hesitant to order from them again. However, I am looking forward to trying their pizza since it was good in our old town. If it lives up to the quality we remember, I may consider ordering from them again for special occasions. The pizza was great, on par with Pizza Hut, which I enjoy. I just wish the other food items were as good.
