Huddle House - Owensboro

Just go somewhere else. I’ve never in my entire life had to wait so long for food. Literally have been sitting here for an hour and all we have had is tea. We waited forever to be seated, and our server just kept following up with the tables around us with no recognition until he seen me glaring at him-only to come tell us that we had two tickets in front of us and that he was sorry in a baby voice. Serves us half of the food with no silverware. There was a nice lady that checked on us and asked how long we had to wait. She was about the only nice thing about the place.

The waitress was nice but the food was awful and I didn't get half of what I ordered and it cost us over $30.

I don’t recommend this place at all. The midnight crew may be the worse there is. We order 3 MVP and a Strawberry waffle platter. All the bacon for each order came out so burnt. The pancake came out doughy and was presented terribly. Portions was not right. Each had less than the other. Mother’s plate was wrong in eggs. Her plate went back. Then they brought her plate back with just eggs no potatoes nothing. The lady that worked next to cook was shady and nasty as I ever seen. She dropped some stuff out of refrigerator. She picked it up and laid it on counter. Well in her gloves she was food prepping it wasn’t changed. She looked around to see if any customers seen it. She didn’t think you can see what they do by watching to top. She kept working in those gloves touching food. I was disgusted at this point. The cook couldn’t get any of order right. Which didn’t matter cause waitress left it in pick up area for awhile til she brought it to our table to be all wrong or over cooked temps were cold. Not got food at all. I was against going here since last time was just as bad as this time. This time it was gross not clean and a lot of messy tables. Mother insisted so we gave it another chance. The worse experience. Dirty forks giving to table sat down pancakes and we had to wait til we got up ourselves to find syrup. The restrooms must been the worse we ever had seen. We took our chances with hand sanitizer at table cause we would have had got sick trying to use their facility. Not clean at all. I’m sure if health department would work at night this place be shut down. Wander how many workers would pass drug test a lot of them seem to be pretty out there. I’m sure they know all this and still allow to let these workers work. Since no one wants to work anymore. They all blame stuff on others. We go out a lot and so does our family and friends. But after this experience like the past we all agree we won’t go back. Waste of time and money.

Me and my girlfriend went after she got off work late and there was only one clean booth open. We sat and apparently others were sat at the table being served but there was no belongings or items on the table. So we got an order taken and then was asked to move rudely to one of the other tables. Definitely do not recommend.

Terrible terrible service here and no one cares. No one acknowledged we were even there. Then when we were seated the waitress started taking our order right away and as she did I noticed the 3 behind us were leaving. I pointed it out to the waitress and she chewed us out and said it’s because people want to talk instead of order. After that completely uncalled for exchange we told Her we would just leave and she quickly turned and stormed off. The last time we were there they were also rude and people were waiting and just left. They move like snails and have no idea how to multi task and seem to never care. This is the most pathetic service I’ve ever had and I will never return to this place again and it’s literally the closest to my house. The entire team seemed to congregate behind the bar and linger there so it’s no wonder they can’t keep up and people stream in and right back out. They look at the people waiting with complete contempt. Completely unprofessional in every way. My family went there Sunday and was treated terribly by a different waitress so this is definitely a management issue. I see the manger ques up boilerplate responses yet made zero effort while all this is happening around them. Spare that here
