Country Ham Restaurant - Owensboro

Country Ham is a hidden gem in Owensboro. There is nowhere else in Owensboro where you can get some fried green 'maters and a delicious catfish dinner. Let alone at the price they charge. Friendly staff and excellent service. If you ain 't had Country Ham Restaurant...well...you ain 't country.

Hannah, our waitress, (and the cook) were both very friendly and exceptionally helpful in dealing with my husband's allergy issues!There was an all you can eat fish option but my husband and I both chose the dinner that came with four pieces of fish, salad, baked potato, cole slaw and hush puppies for a very reasonable under $7 price. We were initially disappointed that the restaurant had run out of country ham, but later agreed their fish was excellent and that we wouldn't have known this if the country ham had been available. Kid friendliness: Booster seat noted, tables had checkerboard and other game options. Dietary restrictions: My husband has a food allergy and both the waitress and cook took extra care to ensure food safety.

Delicious dinner tonight, salmon patties, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, pinto beans and cornbread, plus country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, fried okra, plus chocolate pie!!! 5*

Good old American restaurant. I love this place we ordered to take the burger was fantastic and the fries tasted great. I'm not here since covid, so I don't know if it's changed
