Mclain's Market Overland Park

Great place for a nice lunch, the food is all fantastic. We also use this place for catering alot of birthdays and social gatherings. One of my favorites.

I have been going to McLain’s since they opened and generally everything is good. It’s a made to order restaurant so sometimes it can take a bit so I always make sure I have extra time. Today was terrible not only did it take a absurdly long time to get a coffee and a muffin but I didn’t even get the muffin! When I got to the window I asked point blank if I would have a long wait because I had to go since it took a long time. Only giving one star for sanitary reasons. The employee was prepping food with his coat on which seems to be strike one. Next he had on gloves and touched everything he could for example his phone, pulled his pants up, and went right back to touching food. Phones are one of the many dirty things compared to money. Please think about giving your workers long sleeves if they are cold and advising them that just because they have on gloves that doesn’t mean their hands are clean.

We love going to McLain's. The food is delicious, the coffee is great. The atmosphere is amazing! I only gave it a four star because it is pretty pricey in my opinion. Guess maybe you're paying extra for the atmosphere ‍ ️
