Osteria L'archivolto - OVADA

We (5 adult family members) had a marvelous dinner. The food and service were impeccable. I can recommend the ravioli and the rack of lamb but other meals chosen by our party were equally delicious. Great value for authentic fresh food. Bravo!!

Lunch at L'Archivolto was a great experience. I would particularly recommend the tartar, but all the other dishes were also good! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back if I’m ever in Ovada.

We probably violated a few traffic laws driving into the vicinity of this restaurant (a few blocks away) there is a lot of construction going on and very narrow streets in the city center. But what a joy to find it. Even as strangers, we were welcomed cordially. The atmosphere is that of a warm, informal and hearty dining place that knows its wine. The wine list/book is three or four inches thick. The menu is extensive. We seized on a couple of favorites-a wonderful Bagna Cauda to start (one is plenty for two); gnochetti with baby clams and a dash of bottarga served over some pureed greens, perhaps peas. Delicious panna cotta and semifreddo for dessert. Life is too short to drink bad wine. We picked a bottle of Scolca Black Label Gavi di Gavi, and even though we only drank half of it, it is an all time favorite. I'm sure if we went back, the greeting would be even heartier-on both sides.

Osteria al centro per ovada. bel ristorante con personale cordiale e preparato. si mangia divinamente e il prezzo è più che competitivo per il servizio e locale. grande e importante carta di vino ma si trovano anche vini con prezzi eccellenti.....brasato di faraone e bagnatacauda sicuramente meritano.
