We did the Mercat experience and it was a lot of fun seeing them interact and stretching and bouncing around. This tour you have to be patient, quiet, wait and watch maybe up to a few hours but it's so rewarding watching them! The one came out over an hour before the others and kept watch! Then they slowly started coming out, stretching and running around. The guide we had was very patient and knowledgable! This was a very amazing experience since I have only seen them on TV! The staff was very nice and quick to help you with anything. The breakfast was good and right by a little pond so you could watch wildlife in the mornings! This is a must visit place on you vacation/holiday!

We were allowed to spend one night in a luxury tent. The tent has a large, comfortable bed, minibar, safe and a nice bathroom with an outdoor shower. The air conditioning can both cool and heat, which was very helpful for us as we were in the tent at an uncomfortable 16 degrees. Thanks to a heated mattress and enough blankets, it was warm and cozy. At night you can hear the animals from the waterhole. Individual kudu roam freely on the site. In the waterhole you can see various birds, hippos and, if you are lucky, elephants. We did a bush safari and a lion feeding. We felt absolutely in good hands during both activities. The guides are absolutely well informed and trained. All service staff are very, very friendly and helpful. The only thing that didn't convince us was the food. The map is very large, but the quality is not convincing. The breakfast could also be much better. Otherwise, this lodge is also highly recommended with children!
