Greek salad mostly lettuce,2 olives and a bit of tomato dressed with what tasted like ranch with feta cheese mixed in. Wife had a BLT and fries. Arrived cold, frozen seasoned fries. Low quality food at EXTREMELY HIGH PRICES. You really would expect some higher quality offerings for$18 for a sub par burger
The food was good, not great. The service was fair, if not a bit slow and inattentive. The decor was interesting evokes a 60s/70s diner (lots of mirrors and chrome). Not somewhere I would clamour to visit again, but wouldn't say no...
Food is very mediocre and extremely expensive. I had a poutine and a pepsi for 26$ and spent 20 minutes there, outside on their terrasse. This is possibly the worse poutine: old cheese, false fries and the sauce tasted nothing.
We were in Ottawa over the long weekend and enjoyed our time and most of our meals in and around town but mainly in Byward Market. All meals were delicious with the exception of Zak's Diner. Our table ordered three variations of eggs benedict among other items and all of the eggs were way over cooked and not warm. Service was ok and server was nice and apologetic about delays etc but the food was terrible. Considering all the great restaurants that Byward Market has to offer this choice was a mistake on our part.
We took 3 kids under 4.5 here. The food was great, staff was super accommodating, and the kids menu even had ice cream with a gummy worm with marshmallow eyes included, which was of course a huge favorite with the kids. The kids menu portion was also very large. The menu was huge, and all the food we had was great.
