Despite the restaurant not operating normally during the pandemic, the owner personally delivered the meals. The recipients were impressed by the quality and asked about the source. Kudos to the kindhearted staff and caring owner. Great job!
This restaurant is located in the same strip mall as McDonald's on Baseline Road. It offers similar cuisine to the kabob restaurants in the city, with a variety of options including kebabs served on plates, spits, or wraps. They also offer lamb and beef dishes. The basmati rice served with many of the dishes is delicious and perfectly cooked. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the service is always friendly. There is ample parking available outside.
Zaky's, formerly known as something else before reopening, is a halal restaurant that specializes in braised chicken. The dining experience here is superb, and the staff is extremely welcoming. I highly suggest trying their nine-part special which includes 9 pieces of chicken, large fries, 4 dinner rolls, and 3 dipping sauces for only $20. Additionally, they also serve what I believe to be the best Tandoori chicken around.
We had seen the reviews when the restaurant opened a few years ago and they were not good. later a friend mentioned that they had eaten here and liked it. So we thought we would try. we were not disappointed. we ordered the Shami Cabab Plate for two of us to share. it came with two spits of ground chicken, a small salat, rice, naan brot and several sauces (greek, hot and not sure what was the third.) be ready to wait a few minutes as they seem to cook the food when they order it, this is a good thing. that was delicious as I used to. the naan was freshly baked, the rice was fragrant, the garlic sauce went well with the tender chicken keer. the meal cost us about $16 with control. they were gracious enough to give us water in two foam glasses without a price. the lady in the money was pleasant and gracious. we will certainly try her fried huh next.
They use a pressure deep fryer which makes all the difference in taste when it comes to frying chicken or anything else fried. Crispy on the outside soft and tender on the inside. The price is right. The décor and setup is like a fast...food restaurant. If you are looking for fried chicken this is the place to visit.
