Rotisserie St-Hubert - Ottawa

The restaurant is OK. Food was good although I did find the chicken legs were smaller than usual. Service was friendly. It's a typical St Hubert but I find the menu has expanded so much, the chain has lots its soul

When we ordered our meal, we mentioned to the server to ensure our chicken would be hot. It arrived warm! When mentioned to the server he said no problem and brought out a small plate and took my friends chicken to the kitchen. Only a small piece had been eaten. The server came back a few minutes later with the same chicken breast and said he put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. To say the least my friend and I were shocked that it was heated in a micro. We expected it to be replaced with a hot chicken breast. I didn't return my piece which was only warm because I had taken a few bites. The fries were also just warm. So as far as the food, it was not as we expected. Servers name was Oliver. Young guy, very nice but did not handle the situation well. We were disappointed with our visit.

Our server was very friendly and understanding that we had a couple people cancel at the last minute for our reservation. She got all of our orders exactly right. It was a great experience and we loved being in the private room. Thank you!

After seeing the chicken cars outside, was not expecting to see a nice restaurant inside. Had rotisserie, and it was cooked well and came off the bone easily. Brownie sundae was also good.

It seems everyone in Ottawa has a strong opinion on which is the better chicken restaurant: Swiss Chalet or St-Hubert. Our family prefers St-Hubert. There are equally strong opinions on the traditional (vinegar) or creamy coleslaws which come complementary before the meals. We got one of each. With choice of 'moderate' or 'regular' serving sizes, we could choose the right amount of food, which was well-cooked and tasted good. Our server seemed a little out of sorts with the supper rush (we just barely got a table by arriving shortly before 5pm) and there were multiple mistakes made throughout our meal, to the point where we stopped trying to correct them. But, overall, a pleasant experience.
