Nate's - Ottawa

I think a relatively hidden jewel. The fish and chips were excellent and the tartaric acid sauce is very delicious. I loved the onion rings and was very impressed by the steak. The staff is also super friendly! If you're in the area, I recommend going here.

Super nice place, friendly and attentive service. I had the smoked meat plate with pommes and it was great! Also very filling – I have a doggy bag.

It is just a short walk from Parliament Hill and Rideau Centre. The atmosphere is beautiful. It is bright and there is music. Server was friendly and funny. We didn't have to wait long for lunch, it was pretty fast to come. Our food was good. Smoked meat, fries and Coleslaw. We found our Smoked meat a bit harder than normal

Comfort food. You come for the smoked meat, slaw, pickle and poutine. All are above average and you leave happy. My favorite thing about Nate's is the breakfast. Come before 11 and get the best breakfast deal in Ottawa for the last 30 years.
