Food preparation was in the capable hands of Chef Dad, Sous Chefs Son and Mom whilst both their daughters were impressive at greeting, answering menu questions and serving. The food was typically very spicy, served piping hot, abundant, and did I say, absolutely delicious? The onion bhaji was without doubt the best we ever did et -- not greasy, generously sized round balls of succulent onion pieces, coriander and a farrago of Indian spices. The house specialty, the Tandoori Mixed Platter, was in a class by itself, there was no mistaking its authenticity. Every shrimp, chicken, lamb morsel was a delight, alas, but for the beef, which as in many Indian restaurants was disappointing : too chewy ! The restaurant is a single room facility with at least a dozen tables which can be easily moved around. We are looking forward to our next visit and will try to make it an evening one accompanied by some fellow Indian food aficionados.
I had high hopes but this place did not meet expectations. Service was really slow even though there were only a few people in the restaurant. The onion bhaji appetizer was good, so I appreciated that. I got vegetable korma which was basically just onion chunks in a cream sauce. Not good. No fresh vegetables, just what appeared to be frozen mixed vegetables and a whole lot of onion. The cheese naan bread was flavourless, though it was soft and fresh.
The best Biryani and Teriyaki dishes we have ever tasted. Everything is obviously made so freshly and the spices really sing out to you. Very friendly atmosphere, especially from Mirage who greeted us this evening. Thank you Mia and friends, we will definitely tell others about your amazing food and service.
Me and my husband have been eating here for just about a year now and we have yet to have a bad meal. Take out or eat in, the food is just amazing. Our favourites are Rogan josh (lamb),! Butter Chicken, Eggplant Bhaji and Vegetable Korma. They also have a great lunch menu. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The menu selection is impressive and the food tastes incredibly authentic and lovingly made ... because it is. What a gem, would recommend it to anyone who appreciates fabulous Indian food. Decor is basic.
