Margarita - Ottawa

Ordered takeout for my birthday, was super exited to see most dishes can be made vegan (ordered online, selected vegan for meat). Was super easy to order and very delicious.

The restaurant offers authentic cuisine with a friendly atmosphere. The terrace is beautiful, and they serve excellent cocktails. There are plenty of vegetarian dishes available as well as options for vegans.

This restaurant disappointed me greatly. It is unacceptable in 2022 for a restaurant to claim to be vegan-friendly by simply removing meat, cheese, and sour cream from a dish and charging the same price without replacing these ingredients with something else (and no, a potato does not suffice). I might have been more forgiving if the food had been enjoyable, but aside from the guacamole, everything was quite terrible. The nachos were greasy, the mushrooms were almost spoiled, the salsa was watery, ingredients were missing, and the lettuce was soggy. The service was just as disappointing, with a dirty table, forgotten drinks, missing cutlery, and a clear preference for regular customers over us.

The food was authentic and the staff were very friendly. The patio was nice and the virgin cocktails were excellent. There were plenty of vegetarian dishes and vegan options available.

I ordered online for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised to find that most dishes could be made vegan. It was easy to place my order and the food was delicious.
