Malone's Lakeside Grill - Ottawa

Food was good but over charged. I asked to change the sides from veggies and potatoes and small salad to just a salad with salmon. The waitress went to ask and told me I would be charged three dollars extra. I think this was ridiculous. Furthermore I heard a woman at the next table ask for the same change not extra charge.

My wife and I ate here on a Monday evening and we got a nice viewing table at the back of the upstairs outdoor patio overlooking Dows Lake and the NCC parkland. Very relaxing to watch the canoes paddling while we enjoyed our Strawberry Daiquiris (they also had many other interesting and unique cocktails in their drink menu). I began with the Jumbo shrimp in garlic butter which were cooked perfectly. We both followed with the sirloin steak, seasoned well and also cooked perfectly. It came with a choice of potato (broiled or fries) as well as sauteed mushrooms. We both concluded with a chocolate mousse cake. We will definitely be back before the summer weather ends. They also have a wide type of foods available, from Italian to Greek.

Had a great meal at Malone's. Very relaxing, the staff was very friendly. The burgers looked amazing although I didn't have one.We went with family members who could not do the stairs so we used the elevator to get to the patio.We were with people from out of town so they really enjoyed the view of the water and the people canoeing or paddle boating.

Wow. a packed up lunch under blue skies .a Shirly Temple and a lemonade escorted calamari. it was followed by a nice dinner dish of fillet of place. Loved it! We wish we had not landed on bus loads of tourists.

Awesome place to have lunch on the patio We were fortunate to be seated at a tall table overlooking the lake! Atmosphere, service and food were all excellent
