This was my 3rd sampling. One previous visit and one take out, both which were fine. This last visit the food was good but not spectacular. We had vietnamese spring rolls for an appetizer. They were good but the peanut sauce was lacking zing to it which would have elevated. Our problem this visit was the service and timing of the food. We ordered 4 dishes. The 1st, the chicken fried rice, arrived and close to 15 minutes passed before the next arrived. My husband even went to enquire where the rest of our food was. It wasn't as though the place was busy at 1:00 pm. I'll try it one more before I decide one way or another.
I and a friend had lunch here on a recent Friday. Unfortunately, the dim sum carts are only available on the weekend so we had to order from the dim sum menu. All five dishes we had were excellent. The restaurant is just one square room and I'm not sure it's big enough to support the variety of dim sum dishes I am used to if carts are involved. Several things I like were not available from the menu. The service was good and the price for lunch was acceptable.
This new two-course restaurant; the first written in Chinese and English that seems to be the one used by Asians. the dishes are very good and deserve to be tested. for the most traditional the second menu is the typically Canadian/Chinese menu. I tasted both and they're as good as the other.
Family had dim sum here recently, and it was better than what we were used to on Somerset (Chinatown). Hot, fresh, good variety and excellent quality. I have not tried dinner here, but definitely a go-to for dim sum.
