Lemon Grass - Ottawa

My experience at Lemon Grass was simply average. The wait staff was courteous and the ambiance was nice and calming. The food was delivered to our table quite promptly, but in terms of flavor it was lacking the fresh quality I was expecting. For example, I would have liked fresh chilis in my pad thai as opposed to the red pepper flakes that were heaped on top of my dish.

What I like about Thai food is that it tends to taste so fresh and vibrant. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. The food came out very quickly which is often a bad sign. I had hot and sour soup which appeared to be predominantly chicken stock. It was ok but nothing special in the slightest. The green curry then appeared, it tasted fine but again had not got the vibrancy I was expecting. It could easily have been a supermarket ready meal.The staff were pleasant and the venue was quite nice.I doubt I would go again as came away quite disappointed.

Lemon Grass on Elgin Street is an intimate, Thai style restaurant. Tables, complete with white table cloths and high back dining style chairs, are segregated between delicate full length chain walls providing you with a sense of privacy. Nice menu with a good selection of entrees and appetizers at mid-range prices. Full bar. Street parking. No patio.

I've tried most of the items on the menu. Everything is delicious! At lunch they have an all-you-can-eat option for $14. Best thai food in Ottawa!

I have often visited Lemongrass . I've dined in and often do take out with delivery. The food recently in my opinion has been very good. I will continue to go there to satisfy my Thai craving. Although there are other Thai restaurants in Ottawa this is located centrally
