We ordered butter chicken, which was mildly spiced and a favorite of Illyana. The chicken Biryani was also delicious, but we wished there were more fried onions – we love those! We also tried meat samosas, vegetable samosas, a Kachumbar salad, and their famous house-made Naan bread as sides. The meal was perfect and we have plenty of leftovers. Now I understand why colleagues and friends have been raving about their great-tasting Indian food. If you're craving Indian cuisine, you should definitely give them a try! #supportlocal #ottawafoodiestalker
I'm typically not quick to give 5 stars, especially to a restaurant. But this place definitely deserves it. When I first walked in and saw their prices, I thought it was too expensive. However, I decided to give it a try and ordered the chicken madras... and it was absolutely delicious. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was really good. The portion size was also generous, and since I was dining alone, I couldn't finish it all. I plan to come back to try more of their dishes before I return to Toronto.
I have ordered from Host India multiple times and I am always amazed by the freshness of their food. The butter chicken and curries are packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The samosas are a must-try, and the portions are very generous. Overall, I highly recommend giving them a try - you won't be disappointed!
I like this restaurant even in this difficult time, they cook very decent food. And they cook fast. Portions are more than generous. You mix try as a plush this is the best!
Absolutely the best Indian restaurant in Ottawa. And if you're lucky enough to have Ali as your waiter, you will have an even better experience! The butter chicken is a must!
