Gina's Cafe - Ottawa

Stumbled upon this little gem. Very nice and polite staff. Wonderful simple breakfast. Of course I went for the giant breakfast. Two, eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, potatoes, pancakes and coffee. Dam. Just like mom used to make. No frills no excess. Nice relaxing meal. So happy there are still family places with honest food and hospitable. Thank you!

Cute little spot, two eggs, one meat and potato breakfast including coffee for $5.99 and it was delicious. Friendly service, family business, I will go back for sure.

My boyfriend & I were looking for a simple breakfast in the area that wasn't going to cost more than $20 for the two of us. I checked online & noticed this place had good reviews (on another site) with a simple menu & good prices. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything looked. We were greeted by the cook/waiter (could also be owner) right away. The menus were already on the table & the gentlemen was there within minutes. He mentioned the special which was your typical 2 eggs/meat/homefries/toast/coffee for $5.99 (which is almost unheard of these days). I think this meal is regular $7.99, which is still reasonable. He seemed to be the only one working at the time (Friday morning) with a few other occupied tables. He was doing a fantastic job at multitasking everything. Our food was brought over to us in less than 10 minutes. It was delicious & exactly what we were looking for. Homefries were real potatoes (not the frozen kind) & nicely seasoned. Our bill was around $16.00 (the boyfriend had gotten an extra side of meat). We hope this place will stay in business for a long time as we will certainly be back anytime we're in the neighborhood.

This restaurant is a bit out of the way - close to Chinatown and Little Italy. The chef and staff are extremely friendly. The food, while it is the usual fare, is well-prepared and delicious. The room and setting is clean and bright. They have daily specials, and are reasonably priced.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is amazing and the service was outstanding.
