Flapjack's Canadian Diner - Ottawa

We stopped by early Sunday afternoon but missed out on the breakfast menu. However, the all day brunch options were quite good. Our son ordered the eggs, bacon and sausage on poutine, my spouse had the cinnamon pancakes, and I went for the regular pancakes breakfast sandwich. The pancakes were exceptionally thick and delicious. My wife found her meal to be a bit too sweet, even after removing some of the icing, but we ended up swapping pancakes and everything worked out well. The service was quick and very friendly, and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere.

Great diner in the Little Italy area. They have pretty much anything that you would find at a typical diner. Good hot chocolate and nice variety of pancakes. I ordered the ones with vanilla icing sugar on top and they were top-notch. Looking forward to returning and trying another item!Food: 5/5

Despite this hiccup, my boyfriend and I had a great overall experience. We were promptly seated as we were the only ones there. We both ordered pulled pork mac and cheese, and were informed that it may take some time to prepare. The wait didn't feel long for us as we were engrossed in conversation, but the staff still apologized and even gave us complimentary donuts, which was a pleasant surprise. The waitress checked on us at opportune moments, like right after I finished my water or as soon as we finished our meals, ensuring we didn't have to wait for anything. Overall, the service was top-notch and the experience was enjoyable. I only wish the mac and cheese had been baked with a cheesy crust on top, but it was still delicious and I would definitely order it again. This place never fails to impress me, and I would give it a 10 out of 10.

My experience with this restaurant is primarily through Ubereats, although I have been there. My last order was pancakes. They did not include any syrup. Even though I paid extra for syrup. This time was also pancakes. They were cold, although they provided a tiny cup of syrup for 2.99. I am ashamed of myself for ordering from them again. Garbage.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. They did not have syrup for the pancakes or hollandaise for the eggs Benedict. The BLT had finger indents in the bread and was toasted very lightly. Additionally, the drinks were substituted without checking with the customer. I have been a cook for the past 15 years, working in both pubs and fine dining establishments, and I found the food sent out in unacceptable condition. The restaurant needs a better Expo or the Chef needs to improve the quality of their dishes. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
