I recently visited a restaurant on Slater Street. Although I originally intended to go farther, I ended up meeting friends who were familiar with the place. The restaurant is slightly below street level, which may affect visibility, but it is definitely worth a visit. My wife and I arrived early for lunch and enjoyed some coffee and tea while waiting for our friends. Our server, Sarah, was attentive and efficient in taking our drink orders when our friends arrived. The beer and wine selection was limited but catered to everyone's preferences. I had a Creemore beer and my wife had a Pinot Grigio. We both ordered the special of the day, a chicken penne in Alfredo sauce and the soup of the day, which was a flavorful tomato soup with a hint of spice. My wife had the chicken Mango Curry wrap with soup. Sarah recommended adding lime and Parmesan cheese to the soup, which enhanced the flavor even more. The main courses were delicious and generously portioned. The restaurant offered a perfect combination of great food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it for a delightful lunch in downtown Ottawa.
This restaurant is a fantastic dining option, located just a short distance from Parliament Hill. The atmosphere is top-notch and the staff is very welcoming. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
I had a very good breakfast, but I found it to be slightly overpriced compared to Nate's Deli down the street. However, I enjoyed the lunch and particularly liked the soup.
Unacceptable waiting time, really bad breakfast, poor service. Worst breakfast we ever had. Unbelievable why it Takes so Long so bring a Bagel with cream Cheese
