Bibliotheque Cafe - Ottawa

Only open for breakfast and lunch. Nice cozy atmosphere. Appears to be accessible only via short set of steps from street or down a full flight from the hotel.

I really shouldn't spoil this hidden gem by telling everyone how good it is, because it will just get too popular. A cosy old-style reading room is the setting for this lunch spot, where the food is fresh and the servers are incredibly personable. Daily specials are reasonably priced. Excellent value.

The breakfast was oily and bacon was burnt. The toasts and coffee was nice. While we stayed at the hotel and got free breakfast we avoided the breakfast the next day

Stumbled past the Bibliotheque Cafe on our way back from Parliament hill. Had a really good homelike cooked breakfast. Service was excellent and a very quiet atmosphere sunken below street level

Am a guest at the Capital Hill, and popped in for a late breakfast. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food and coffee was delicious. Recommend the eggs benedict. For a first-timer, was very satisfied. Will be back.
