I stopped by for a quick lunch on campus with a friend between classes. The staff at the counter were friendly, though they seemed a bit rushed. I ordered a chicken salad, while my friend opted for her usual poutine. My fattoush salad was customizable, allowing me to choose my veggies (typical shawarma toppings) and dressing, along with grilled chicken. I decided to add a spoonful of hummus to the salad, which made it deliciously creamy and added a nice protein boost without being overly fatty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and remained juicy. Their hummus was tasty, though I would have liked it to be a bit more garlicky. At $10, it felt a little pricey for a salad, but it was quite filling. My friend really enjoyed her poutine, especially since it was halal. It tends to get quite busy with the influx of students, so I recommend going between class times—specifically around 12:15 after classes end at 11:30.
